Arbete på väg - Step 1 (1.1, 1.2, 1.3)


Target group

Everyone who works on a road procured by the Swedish Transport Administration must have a general basic competence corresponding to Step 1: 1. In addition to general basic competence (Step 1: 1), drivers of road holding vehicles must also have basic competence for driving road maintenance vehicles (Step 1: 2). In addition to general basic competence (Step 1: 1), personnel who perform road work or similar work, such as design assignments, management work, on a roadway or associated inside (road lanes) where passing vehicles are present, must have this competence.


Course description

1.1. The training includes an understanding of the Swedish Transport Administration's safety requirements, how a safe road work site is designed, the road work area's zones and what road signs and protective devices can be used. It provides a basic understanding of what rules and laws govern and who is responsible for what. It also emphasizes its own responsibility and the importance of understanding the safety rules that exist in the workplace.

1.2. The training includes knowledge about how road maintenance work from vehicles should be done in a road-safe manner. How the vehicle should be placed and how does the driver avoid the risks that can occur with passing vehicle traffic. What road signs are allowed and how the vehicle should be properly equipped. How should the vehicle be placed to achieve a safe working environment and a high level of road safety for road users. Knowledge about the Work Environment Act and its regulations (AFS) as well as what the Traffic Regulation, the Road Act and the Road Regulation.

1.3. After the training, the participant must have general knowledge of the Traffic Regulation, the Road Signs Regulation and its regulations. Specifically know the rules that apply to the performance of the work and have an adapted competence for the work performed by the person. Know the Swedish Transport Administration's regulations for current work and avoid the risks that may arise with passing vehicle traffic. Be able to receive instruction and perform the work as a person with step 2 skills convey. To act as a flag guard, Step 1: 3 needs to be supplemented with a flag guard training.

The training ends with a written knowledge test to ensure that the knowledge requirements are achieved. After completing the training and passing the approved knowledge test, each participant is given a diploma and a proof ocf education showing the type of training completed. RentSafe Academy is an IDO6 accredited competency registrar, which means that we can register completed courses on the participant's personal ID06 card. However, this requires consent that is made in connection with the education.
